Ipsy January Glam Bag 2015

Ipsy has been one of my favorite subscriptions for a while now. For anyone that doesn't know what Ipsy is, it's a monthly beauty subscription that cost $10 a month. Each month they send 4-5 beauty samples, deluxe samples and/or full sized products in a cute little makeup bag, right to your mailbox. I have to credit Ipsy for peaking my interest in trying new products I wouldn't normally go out of my way to try.

So let just jump in and talk about the products I received in this months bag.
Starting with the (MALIN+GOETZ) Mojito Lip Balm, This lip balm does not disappoint. It's hydrating, the scent/flavor isn't overpowering, and it leaves my lips super soft. I would defiantly throw this in my basket if I came across it in the store while shopping.  I'm pretty sure I've seen this in other peoples bags last year but still glad I got it in this bag. Plus I got this in full size and retails for $12! Thats more then what I paid for the whole bag!

Next on my list is the Hikari Cosmetics Mechanical Eye Liner. The shade they sent out is Storm. Which is a dark gray. I am kind of on fence about this product. I have received quite a few gray and silver eyeliners in the past year from ipsy. So to be honest, this will probably just sit in my liner collection and rarely see any use. It doesn't go on as smooth as some of the other liners I have. So overall I could have done without this liner. BUT I did get this in a full size which retails at $13!

Moving on, La Fresh Eco-Beauty Be Good. Good Day. Day Moisturizer. Been using this for a couple days now and overall I like it. Nothing I'd write home about and probably wouldn't buy it at the cost it is for the full size. The size of this item came in .5 oz. Full size is 1.7oz and retails for $40. Sample worth is somewhere around $13.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo is one of the products I was very excited to try out! This didn't let me down! I use it as a highlight on my cheeks, Like I would my Benefit High Beam and it looks great! This is about a quarter of the full size, so this sample is worth about $7/$8. But a little goes a long way, I can see this lasting a while. This was one of the products I am pleased with receiving this month!

And lastly Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in the shade Treasure. I have gotten Pacifica eye shadow in the past and though I do really like this brand, this shadow fell short for me. It's very close in color to MAC Woodwinked. Except MAC is much more pigmented and creamy. Pacifica feels chalky and isnt as pigmented. Now this shadow in full size comes in a palette with three shadows in it. The palette is $14. That makes this shadow worth just over $4.

So to sum this all up I paid $10 for $49/$50 in new products plus a super cute makeup bag! This is exactly why I will continue my Ipsy subscription for a long time to come! I completely recommend this subscription if you need some help stepping outside your normal routine . It can be a hit or miss but it's fun trying everything and finding new products you might like.
